Without getting into details, I’ve had a tough week. I’m emotionally drained. I feel like I’m a bit like the photo above–walking through the darkness, trying to find my way to the light, hopefully sooner rather than later. I took this photo while enjoying some time away with my mom and sisters late last year in Delray Beach. We stayed at a hotel right on the water, but to get to the water you had to walk through some tropical growth–just enough to make you appreciate the beauty of being in the light on the other side. I wanted to capture it on camera so that I could remember the feeling later. Now, looking back, I’m so glad I did because I really am feeling like there just aren’t words for where I am. I know I’ll get through it and remind myself that I can’t truly appreciate the light without having to deal with the darkness. #WordlessWednesday

I hole your week improves and you make it through!
I’m sure I’ll make it through…just hoping it’s an easier journey than I’m picturing in my head.
hugs to you sweetie. We all have times like that. I will add you to my prayers.
thanks Lori!
Sorry you are having a rough time. Hope your week goes better from here on.
Your post and your picture remind me of one of my favorite quotes.
There’s a light that shines at the tunnels end, it lights my every step. It was actually from a heavy metal song I listened to as a teenager. But now that I am older and a Christian, the light it Jesus for me.
that’s really nice…thanks for sharing!
Love this picture! I”m working on my photo skills now, great capture.
thanks Marina! photography is my hobby and passion.
It’s a beautiful image and it has happy memories attached to it.
Here’s to light and dark. Wishing you well, Desiree
Thank you Lori. I thought of you last night as I brushed my daughters cheek watching her fall asleep. Pure heaven–and lots of light.
There’s always light and hope at the end of a hard journey…
That is such a beautiful picture! Hang in there. There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. Sending big hugs and warm thoughts your way.
Even though the week has been hard what a great way to look back on something positive. Amazing pictures and even more….an amazing memory!
Hugs to you Desiree! I recently have felt like I have come out of the darkness of a tough time. I love this picture and that you have happy memories attached to it. You need to print this picture and hang it somewhere to remind you that even if you are in a dark place, you will always come out into the light.
Thanks Susan…great idea about printing it!
Beautiful picture. Love, strength and prayers headed your way. Psalm 23:4 “Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, LORD, for you are with me.”
