Cake pops are all the rage around the country. They don’t just taste good, but they’re typically really pretty, too. Sometimes, they’re downright adorable, on top of being delicious.
Anything THAT cool must be really difficult to make, right?
Well, not if you have a how-to book. In fact, even kids can make cake pops if you’re willing to work with them and follow the tips in the New York Times bestselling book Cake Pops by Bakerella.
The images of the various cake balls and cake pops will have your mouth watering and your creative juices pumping as you take the ideas from the page and help your child make them for your own dessert.
And here’s the thing…now you can buy the supplies you need, from a mixing bowl to multiple molds for different shapes. They are available in a box in the toy aisle at ToysRUs!!
The supplies are part of the Cake Pops by Bakerella Ultimate Cake Pop Set and my daughter and I recently put them to the test, having a blast going through the steps of baking a cake, then tearing it to pieces, mixing it with icing and rolling them into cake balls. There’s even a cake grater included to help in the crumbling of the cake. The unique molds make it easier than ever to get the shapes you want, and there’s a tray to put the balls in when you need to cool them in the frig.
The Cake Pops by Bakerella line is for ages 5 and up and will be available at ToysRUs only for $19.99.
We were given a sample to put to the test and had a blast baking our cake pops. And guess what?! We get to give away a set, too. Just comment below on what celebration you would like to make cake pops for and we’ll name one winner (chosen by random.org). You have until September 20th at midnight EST to enter.
