Seeing Cabo’s Landmarks from the Water
(The Arch at Lands’ End…this is where the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez meet.)
(Note to readers: I was an invited guest of the Hacienda Encantada Resort and most expenses were covered, including this snorkle cruise. I was not otherwise compensated and my opinion remains my own.)
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, offers multiple must-see spots, including Land’s End and Lovers’ Beach. These aren’t places you’re going to get to by car. You’re going to want to hire a company like Cabo Escapes to take you there by boat (I’m a water baby and wish I could go everywhere this way).
While on a recent media trip to Cabo, I went with Cabo Escapes on a snorkeling cruise to Santa Maria Bay, but on the way to the spot where we were scheduled to snorkel, we also were taken by those amazing landmarks that you can only see in Cabo: the Arch, Lover’s Beach and Land’s End.
I think I enjoyed the cruise past these spots as much as I liked the snorkeling, and that says a lot.
We were on a double decker catamaran that offered shade below (along with breakfast since we were on the morning cruise) and sun and music above (it quickly becomes a dance floor).
We were fitted with flippers, masks and snorkels and jumped in the water once we reached the Santa Maria Bay. The fish were everywhere—and in every color. I always lose track of how much time I’ve been in the water, so I really have no idea how long I was snorkeling, but I can tell you it was the ideal way to spend the morning.
I built up my appetite swimming around and then dancing on the boat, so by the time I got back to the Marina, I was ready for some lunch in the Gold Zone of Cabo.
Want to know the perfect place to stay? I suggest the Hacienda Encantada…find out all about it by clicking here.
Lover’s Beach. Certain times of year you can’t see the sand and cross over to the Divorce Beach on the Pacific Ocean side.
(Can you see the sea lions sitting on the rocks sleeping?)
(Hacienda Encantada where we stayed…the view from our snorkel boat)
(They may even let you drive the boat for a bit.)
Hotel Review: Hacienda Encantada Los Cabos Mexico - Traveling Mom

[…] The only drawback I found at Hacienda Encantada was not being able to swim in the sea on the shoreline. I’m a native Floridian and that’s a given where I’m from. Not in the Sea of Cortez. You can walk in the sand, but it’s dangerous to actually swim among the rocks. There are spots around Cabo where you can safely swim (the Cabo Escape folks will take you to those spots where you can see massive amounts of tropical fish). […]
