Disney Makes it Even More Magical-Fantasyland Improvements
Spending time with my family at Disney World, it’s hard to believe it can get any better, but improvements are underway in Fantasyland.
Here’s a quick run through of some of what to expect in the coming months, shared by Meg Crofton, the President of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts.
The size: Fantasyland will be double in size when it re-opens. That means double the fun!
Dumbo: The ride that we all grew up loving is coming back with improvements. The part I like best: riders will get to wait in air conditioning!
Two new castles: Prince Eric (Ariel’s guy) and the Beast are getting their own castles. With Prince Eric you’ll experience an undersea treat. At Beast Castle you can dine in his enchanted ballroom.
Both open later this year.
Seven Dwarfs: There’s a cool new ride Snow White fans will like. It’s a mine train. That will open in 2014.
Other fun:
Art of Animation resort:
First three phases to open are all family suites with room for a family of six to spread out. The opening of the first phase takes place in May. The first phase is Finding Nemo and it will feature one of the most extensive pools on the property complete with an underwater sound system.
She also mentioned a big change ahead for Disney Land. Cars Land. And it looks exactly like Radiator Springs. Very cool.
Isn’t it neat how Disney just keeps getting better? That’s some powerful pixie dust.
(Special note to readers: I was invited by Disney PR to attend a special conference for moms where this information was shared. My opinions remain my own.)
