Art of Animation Resort Offers More Disney Magic
You know it’s a great resort when you visit Walt Disney World and your hotel is so fun that your child doesn’t care if they end up visiting the park.
That’s what happened with my daughter when we recently stayed at the Art of Animation Resort.
She was having so much fun swimming in the pool, playing in the arcade and posing with the cars (ok, these cars are real characters), she actually asked to stay there instead of heading over to the Disney Parks our first night in town.
We were assigned the Cars portion of Art of Animation, and to be honest, she was bummed. She wanted to stay at Finding Nemo, or Lion King. But can I tell you that we never even made it over to those portions of the resort during our three day stay? She ended up quite happy to live in Radiator Springs for our visit. Just check out the pictures below as she posed with each character, or car, depending on your imagination.
We both also loved the interior of the room. It’s created for families and offers privacy with one bedroom for the parents while providing a fold down bed (converted from a table) for the kiddos. The couch was a replica of the back seat of a car. The other furniture resembled tool boxes, a car wash and cones everywhere (I mean everywhere, the light sconces being the coolest in my opinion).
Disney has done it right, once again. If you have a Cars fan in your family, this is a must visit.
(Note to readers: We were invited by Disney to attend the opening of the New Fantasyland as a member of the media. Part of our invitation included a free stay at the Art of Animation Resort. We had a blast and our opinion remains our own.)
