Meeting the Real Hannah Montana While Skeet Shooting
Hannah Montana may be an imaginary superstar on stage, but she’s alive and kicking…amend that…she’s alive and shooting… in Big Sky Country.
Hannah is actually an instructor at the Paws Up Resort in Greenough, Montana. And let me tell you, she’s the real thing.
While visiting the resort recently, I decided to try skeet shooting for the first time in my life (along with two gal pals). It’s not every day that I get to fire a shotgun at clay pigeons, so I figured why not? Well, Hannah was in charge of teaching us about the guns before we hit the range. She showed us how to hold them, how to load them, and a lot of other stuff that honestly bored me (seriously, I just wanted to shoot the gun and wasn’t really interested in anything other than pulling the trigger).
Hannah must have taught me something in that lesson, though, because I hit my very first target as it flew through the air. I surprised even myself. I didn’t think I even cared if I hit anything. I just wanted to shoot. But it turned out I liked this, a lot, and I was kind of good at it.
And I have Hannah Montana to thank.

This is awesome! I’ve always wanted to do this but I’m too scared, I’ve never shot a gun before.

That was so awesome and I can’t thank you enough for the activity suggestion because it was such a highlight! Too bad I was so giddy with excitement that I couldn’t look mean in the photo!

Yes, Leticia…I laugh that I’m the only one with the mean face…you and Alicia don’t really have mean in your bones I suppose. With me, well, just MAKE MY DAY. Yep, that’s my tribute to Clint Eastwood. He’s the ultimate gunshooter.
