Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner from Zaycon Foods (and Giveaway!)
Winner, winner, chicken dinner. It’s one of my kids’ favorite sayings, and when you have four kids who like to eat and you don’t really like to cook, or have the budget to be an extraordinary chef, it’s nice to discover food that is versatile and inexpensive. We all know that equals chicken and now, Georgians can get their chicken for a whole lot less than they’re used to paying. That’s because Zayconfoods is headed this way. Soon! From September 28th through October 5th, Zayconfoods will be selling Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast for $1.69/pound. Want in on the deal? Sign up! Their web site is www.Zayconfoods.com and they will have locations in Norcross, Canton, Columbus, Kennesaw, Lawrenceville, and Warner Robins. Sounds like a winner to me.
I got to try the chicken from this company out recently when they provided area bloggers with 40 pounds of chicken each. Yep, forty pounds! We cooked some up right away, froze some more, and have eaten it for about a month. We like our chicken in strips in fajitas, or slathered with barbecue sauce, or seasoned in Italian dressing overnight, then baked with rice. That’s the easiest dish ever, but my husband swears it’s the tastiest.
What’s your favorite chicken recipe?
Leave me a comment below of your favorite chicken dinner (I can always use some new ideas in the kitchen–but keep ’em simple please, and no, you don’t have to send the entire recipe–just the name of it!). On 9/20 I will pick a winner at random…you’ll win either $65 toward chicken from Zaycon or a $30 giftcard for chicken in an area near you!!! Entries must be in by 9/19 at midnight EST.

I honestly don’t use chicken too much, and if I do I like to use a rotisserie chicken – so easy to dump in a soup, quesadilla or salad. My fave chicken dish is a ragout of potatoes, red peppers, fresh parsley, red onions and chicken breasts. Easy, colorful and hearty. I have the recipe on my recipe blog 🙂
I am very excited about Zaycon coming to Atlanta in October!

My favorite recipe to make is Chicken in Puff Pastry. It is very impressive, yet kind of simple to make, and tastes delicious! I also love chicken enchiladas, and stir-fry (especially love Pad Thai, but I don’t make that myself). Thanks for the giveaway.
