With a big family and tight budget, I’m always looking for ways to stay sane get more for my money, and with three teens in the house, more food is a big fat plus.
The oldest child is heading off to college in several months so we’ve made a family project of things like cooking (each kid is given one night a week to help plan and cook dinner), laundry (they each have to do their own loads now, except the six year old who will have to learn next year!), building a budget (we’re tracking every dollar spent this month so they can see exactly why we cannot go ice skating/to the movies/insert whatever other expensive thrill they like each weekend). That has led us to couponing again.
That’s why I’m pretty excited about this new Kroger Deal of the Day they have going on. Technically, it’s the Cart Buster Savings Event.
Essentially, you just sign up on the site with your Kroger Card and they send you a deal each day that you can use your card to redeem. Nothing beats a digital deal in my book. There’s no coupon to remember so saving is simple. You can even forward your deals to your friends.
I’m counting down for the Tide deal. With all the laundry loads, it’s going to be nice to pile up on detergent to get them clean. My deal of the day saves me an extra $2.50 on Tide liquid or powder (I’m a liquid girl myself). I prefer all the Tide products (even the dryer bar rocks in my book—have you tried that yet?). The coupon for that goes live on March 1st and can only downloaded on that date.
There are other deals that go live all week, starting on Feb. 29th, from a free Larabar to free Pepsi products to free Pampers wipes (all free after purchase of another specific product). You can check it all out by clicking here.
So stinkin’ easy, right? So easy my kids can do it. And they will. Because I want them to see they can save money with little effort and keep their laundry smelling clean and cook dinner on their designated night. Ahhhh, I’m less crazy already.
Thank you to Kroger for sponsoring my participation in the “Deal Of The Day” promotion. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective. All opinions expressed here are my own.
