Little Mommy Dolls for Your Little Mommy

My six year old daughter already knows she wants to be a mommy when she grows up and she’s great about taking care of her “babies”. The dolls go with her everywhere (yes, you should see us in the grocery store with them all lined up in the front sitting section of the cart!).  She is a big fan of the Little Mommy series from Mattel.

She instantly fell in love with the “Baby So New” doll that she was sent from the company (she’s only 6, but the girl is already great at reviews!).  That baby moved right up into the ranks among her favorite because it is so soft.  The doll’s body feels a bit like a bean bag, which I think is so much nicer than the hard shell bodies on the dolls I remembered as a child.  My daughter calls this one (yes, she names every baby…doesn’t everyone?) ‘Princess’ because the outfit she came in has lots of little royal crowns all over it.

You’d think that would be enough to keep her happy all year, but Mattel sent her over the moon with the offer to host her own “Little Mommy and Me Day” with a “Sweet as Me” doll.  They sent along an adorable doll for her and an extra one for her friend to play with.  The girls morphed into instant Little Mommies playing with the dolls together, pretending they were dancing, hugging, and essentially doing all the things the two “big girls” do together.    Then, they got to check out some of the activities on the Facebook app for My Little Mommy.  There are all kinds of cool things to keep two little girls busy, from making invites to cooking recipes.

The dolls even come with outfit changes.  My daughter especially liked the ballerina outfit that she quickly put on her Sweet as Me doll.  It looked a whole lot like the outfit she recently wore in her own recital.   She’s a fan of the cowgirl outfit, too.

All the Little Mommy dolls are available at major stores and online.  And here’s a bonus: they’re reasonably priced, so you’re not going to have to save all year for one to thrill your little mommy.
