Cirque du Soleil Returns to Atlanta with Totem
It’s hard to see a Cirque du Soleil without walking away totally impressed, not just by the talented performers, but the entire production.
I can’t wait to see the performance of TOTEM while Cirque du Soleil is back in Atlanta for a limited engagement under the blue-and-yellow Big Top at Atlantic Station (they’ll be here until December 30, 2012).
TOTEM has already visited 14 different cities in four different countries and performed in front of more than 1.5 million spectators. According to the media release, “TOTEM traces the journey of the human species from its original amphibian state to its ultimate desire to fly. The characters evolve on a stage evoking a giant turtle, the symbol of origin for many ancient civilizations.”
TOTEM marks the 10th Cirque du Soleil Big Top touring show visit to Atlanta since 1991.
Tickets for TOTEM can be purchased at any time online viawww.cirquedusoleil.com/totem or at the Cirque du Soleil box office, located inside the entrance tent at Atlantic Station. (Regular box office hours are from 2 hours prior to show time until 30 minutes after the beginning of the show from Tuesday through Sunday.)
The Performance schedule is: Tuesdays & Wednesdays at 8pm; Thursdays through Saturdays at 4pm and 8pm; Sundays at 1pm and 5pm; and dark on Mondays.
Visit www.cirquedusoleil.com/totem for the complete performance schedule.
(Special note to readers: I was given two tickets to the Totem performance. In exchange, I’ve been asked to spread the word about the tour. As always, my opinion remains my own.)
