Expectant Parents Meet for ‘Lunch Bunch’ with Viacord and More

It’s always rewarding to bring together a group of expectant parents and connect them to people who can help make parenting a little easier, and that’s exactly what I got to be part of yesterday at a special lunch organized for expectant couples.

Viacord organized the event with my baby planning company, Bottles to Britches.  We were joined by Dr. Hansa Bhargava of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, who spoke about different scenarios involving your child and when to bring your baby to the ER, when to head to their pediatrician, or when you can wait out an illness (I’ll be sharing these tips in a separate blog post).  We were also joined by Agatha Achindu of Yummy Spoonfuls organic baby food, Shannan DeLima of StorkVision ultrasounds, and Dr. Winifred Soufi of Women’s Health Associates of Atlanta, who shared information about the value of your baby’s cord blood.  She was brought in by Viacord.

I spoke a bit about travel gear for babies and presented raffle prizes, ranging from a free 3D Ultrasound session to a new Graco Snug Ride Click Connect 40 car seat.  Congrats to our winners and thank you to our participants for attending.
