Reindog Parade Looking for Participants at Atlanta Botanical Gardens (and Holiday Lights)
Ever heard of the Reindog Parade in Atlanta? Pet lovers are going to want to know all about it.
It happens December 8th at Atlantic Botanical Gardens and is the only day of the year that dogs can set paw in the Garden.
Pups put on their party attire (with some assistance from their owners) and parade across the stage before a panel of local celebrity judges to compete for prizes.
Categories include Best Puppy, Best Adult, Best Botanical, Best Dog-Owner Dress alike, Best Dog Pack, and Best in Show.
There’s also a Doggie Expo and participants can even get their photos of their dogs made with the botanical Saint Nick.
Dogs do need to be pre-registered and the deadline is December 5th. Forms can be found at atlantabotanicalgarden.org or by emailing reindog@atlantabotanicalgarden.org.
The fee, in addition to regular Garden admission, is $15 per dog, or $18 at the door (maximum two dogs per owner).
The Garden will also be getting into the holiday spirit in a matter of weeks with the second annual Garden Lights, Holiday Nights November 17 – January 5. That features botanical-inspired displays created with more than 1.5 million lights.
