Training to Run Disney’s Princess Half Marathon
As a parent, a lot of what I do is all about my children, for my children, but sometimes, it needs to be about me, for me, like Disney’s Princess 1/2 Marathon.
My family loves Disney World.
And I love Disney World, too.
I wasn’t sure I’d love running 13.1 miles there, but I have to say, if you are ever going to run a half-marathon, Disney is definitely the place to do it.
You’ll be inspired. You’ll be supported. And, you’ll finish, because your Fairy Godmother will make it so with her cast of characters cheering you on every step of the way, along with the 26,000 other runners (and walkers) who will be there beside you.
The sooner you sign up, the better off you’ll be, because you’ll have time to prepare. And those preparations involve more than just training for your run, as you’ll see in my video.

(Note to readers: runDisney requested I create this video and is providing compensation for this post. However, I had already paid for my race entry and planned to attend…and after all, no amount of money could get me up and running if I didn’t really want to. As always, my opinion remains my own.)

So proud of you Des! You did it! (and yes, my treadmill totally talks to me, too. Nags me, truth be told… 😉 )
