Would You Eat a Cricket?
Eating insects isn’t high on my list of favorite things to do…in fact, you’d have to pay me a bundle to try them, but that’s not the case with my fearless daughter.
On a recent trip to Aruba, it was simple to pick out presents to bring home for the girls, but I was stumped about what the guys would really appreciate, until a friend showed me the box of Crickettes that she found in a gift shop. I knew immediately that my boys would love these!
I never imagined my youngest child, the seven year old, would want flavored crickettes, much less actually eat them. But she did. A lot. Forget the cool fish purse I bought. Forget the neat iguana pencil and bobblehead turtle. She wanted her brother’s crickettes. So I let her try one.
And she liked it. In fact, she wanted to pack crickettes for snack every day. I’m not sure how the principal would feel about that.
This child is fearless. Just watch in the video. And if you wonder about the nutrition, just check out the label on the back of the box.

Wow. That’s a first I’ve seen. Not only did she taste them but likes them and wants more?!?!?
