Instagram Travel Thursday-‘It’s a Small World’ Video Clips Capture Joyful Memories
Travel is such a treat for me, my passion really, and getting to capture video while I’m in the middle of an adventure just makes things so much more fun. I truly love still pictures. Really. But, to me, nothing captures emotions like video. Now, Instagram video makes sharing those emotions immediate. And so much fun!
My family just returned from a media trip where we visited Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, among other Disney attractions. We’ve made countless visits to this magical place, but each trip ends up so different from the last. In this case, we had two extra guests who don’t get to Disney often. They were both giddy with excitement over the rides and it added to our thrill when they faced their fears on Space Mountain, or returned to their childhood with the laid back ride through It’s a Small World.
It hit me on the boat journey on that last ride…It’s a Small World is such a great symbol of the Magic Kingdom…the uniting of many people from different lands, all coming together in a small way to find joy.
So, in this Instagram Travel Thursday post, I am sharing videos of that particular ride with you. I hope if you have been to Disney before that this ride takes you back in time. If you haven’t, I hope that some day you can see this in person.
Enjoy!

I still haven’t tried the video on Instagram, but all the posts I’ve read in the IGTravelThursday have really opened up my eyes and made me really consider adding video as well. I have been so critical of the quality because I don’t know anything about video content… but it really is about sharing the moment and taking people there with you. Thanks for sharing – and giving me another kick in the butt to start doing video.

YES! give it a go! you don’t have to post if you don’t like the video, but if you do, how fun will it be to share?!

I’ve only been to Disney World when I was a child myself, can’t wait to take my kids there one day. I still haven’t tried the video feature on Instagram, I need to give it a go!

I hope you get to take your kids soon, though I have to say it doesn’t matter what age they are…they’ll find something that blows them away.

Thanks Leigh…I’m still wading thru things…can’t figure out why I don’t show the rest of the blogs to link to at the bottom of my post, but it gives me something to learn for next week. 🙂

My kids’ favourite ride! I need to learn how to do the whole IG video thing.

It’s very simple! Instead of clicking a pic, switch to the button that looks like a video camera and use that. Just hold the button down the entire time you want to record. Super easy!

Catching up on my IGTT and so glad I did. Love all things It’s a small world. Being a native of Southern Cal, we had season passes and went religiously. I’ve yet to make it to Walt Disney world but one day!! It’s nice to know it’s the same. Great share..thanks!
