The Little Mermaid–Celebrating the Spunky Princess with Products #iheartariel #LittleMermaidEvent

(Note to readers: I was hosted by Disney Studios as part of a media tour highlighting The Little Mermaid.  All travel was covered but I was not otherwise compensated and my opinions remain my own.)

It was 1989 and Ariel was making a splash with fans around the world…and now, 24 years later, she’ll be returning to the spotlight as Disney Studios re-releases the movie on Blu-ray DVD (with additional scenes!).

Part of the re-release includes a pile of new products for fans young and old to wear with pride (or play with).

The photos below highlight some of my favorite, shown during a special dinner with the Disney Consumer Products PR folks.  I get a kick out of the fact that Sephora now has a beauty line built around Ariel, including nail polish, perfume and more (hope if they make mascara it’s waterproof…sorry, I couldn’t resist!).
