I think that makes me extra sweet. Like the tea I drink (which we know down south tastes best when it comes from Chick-Fil-A).
Down south we like to slow things down a bit.
Enjoy them a little more.
We love our grits, and if we’re lucky enough to live near the coast, we like ’em for dinner with some sauteed shrimp.
We are taught from day one that you always say ‘Yes, Ma’am and Yes, Sir’ when speaking to an adult.
And we can handle it when things get hot.
When someone crosses us, expect us to ‘bless their li’l heart’, but know it doesn’t mean exactly what it sounds like, and must always be said with a sly smile to make your real point.
Yes, I’m proud to be part of the south and would love it if you’d share my pride by voting for my blog among the ‘Top 25 Southern Mom Blogs’ in this Circle of Moms contest. Just CLICK THIS LINK and share the love. You have my undying love.
But please do it soon…voting ends at 7pm EST tonight, September 5th.
