Holiday Season Kicks Off at Stone Mountain Park and Snow Mountain
(Note to readers: I was invited to visit Stone Mountain Park and review the holiday activities. I was not otherwise compensated and my opinion remains my own.)
From the Snow Angel Palace that overlooks Snow Mountain (opening 11/25) to the Sing-Along Christmas Train, Christmas character meet and greets to the holiday musical performances, Stone Mountain Park is lit up with the holiday spirit. And, oh yeah, there are two million twinkling lights covering the trees and buildings, too. That’s million, folks. That’s a lot of lights!
There are other treats, too, like the massive mistletoe hanging in the park (complete with a sign reminding you to look up and make good on the smooching tradition) to carolers who meander through Stone Mountain village. It’s hard NOT to get into the spirit of the holiday while spending a few hours at Stone Mountain. The characters Rudolph and Bumble, the Abominable Snowman, are new to Stone Mountain Park’s holiday celebrations this year. The Sing-Along Christmas Train is also a new addition to the park. That’s a five-mile train ride around the base of the mountain. SNOW MOUNTAIN is also back, opening November 25th and scheduled to stay open until February 7th.
