Providence Women’s Healthcare Offers Holistic Options in Atlanta
Women these days are looking for better healthcare options, including something known as patient centered care, where their individual needs and demands matter most.
In Atlanta, Providence Women’s Healthcare prides itself on providing exactly that.
Providence Women’s Healthcare uses “highly skilled health care professionals and state of the art technologies” to offer a full range of obstetrics, gynecology and midwifery services.
The goal is to offer care based on mutual trust and communication, from your initial exam, to childbirth, through menopause and beyond. The Midwives at Providence are holistic healthcare providers who specialize in natural birth and water birth. Their goal is to educate expectant parents about pregnancy, labor, and birth choices and then support them as they make informed decisions about their care. The practice also has a relationship with several other alternative health care providers, from massage therapists, chiropractors, doulas, childbirth educators, acupuncturists, and lactation specialists.
What makes Providence Women’s Healthcare stand out in Atlanta?
Well, there are a very limited number of providers in the Metro Atlanta area that offer these same options for birth. The hospital in which their Midwifery practice offers its services is one of only two hospitals in Greater Metro Atlanta that offers Water Birth as an option. Also, North Fulton Hospital has the lowest published C-section rate of any hospital in Metro Atlanta.
Providence Midwifery is also one of very few practices in the Atlanta area that offers the Centering Pregnancy Model of prenatal care. Centering Pregnancy is a model of group prenatal care that integrates three major components: assessment, education, and support. Patients meet with their midwife and other group participants that are at a similar gestational age in their pregnancy for an extended period of 120 minutes at regularly scheduled visits over the course of their care. Check out this link for more information on Centering Pregnancy!
They will be at the Atlanta Baby and Child Expo, so be sure to stop in their booth to find out more about all of the options available to you. You can find out more about the expo by going to http://www.atlantababyandchildexpo.com/.
