Juggling Careers and Family in Atlanta is Simplified with CHI Au Pairs
(Note to readers: CHI Au Pair will be part of the Atlanta Baby and Child Expo and paid a sponsorship fee to participate, which includes sharing information about their services here. As always, I would not recommend to you a company that I wouldn’t use for my own family.)
“My patients’ parents ask me all the time how I do it,” says full-time pediatrician and mother-of-four Dr. Laura Harris. “I tell them, ‘Well, for one thing, I have a really amazing Au Pair!’”
Laura and her husband Jack are both busy working professionals, balancing careers and family life in Atlanta. Their four children, ages three through eleven, are active in school, sports and other activities that keep the household schedule buzzing!
That’s why, for the past three years, they have been hosting Au Pairs through the respected cultural exchange organization CHI Au Pair USA.
CHI has been around for more than 30 years and is a designated J-1 visa program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. 23 year-old Alba from Spain is the Harris’s current Au Pair. She has been living with them in their Buckhead home since last May, and has come to be considered a beloved member of the family.
Alba watches the youngest child in the mornings, drives the older children to school and activities, and helps with the kids’ laundry, meals, and even grocery shopping.
Alba also loves to travel with the Harris family on their vacations.
She recently accepted their offer to extend with them for another six months. Everyone is so excited!
Hosting an Au Pair with CHI is surprisingly affordable. The cost starts at just around $350/wk, per family.
CHI offers personalized matching, superior customer care, and extensive Au Pair training. If your family would like to learn about how to host an Au Pair through CHI, please contact your Atlanta Community Administrator, Amanda Paniagua, at telephone 678-575-7769, E-mail: amandapan2@gmail.com, Web: www.chiaupairusa.org.
