Maddie James–Heaven’s Newest Angel

Heaven has another angel tonight.  Sweet little five year old Maddie James spread her wings, leaving behind heartbroken family and friends, along with those of us who only knew about her through her family’s pursuit to honor her with a Seaside Learning Center in her memory.  Maddie loved the water and maybe now will be part of the special sunlight reflecting off of it.  I would like to believe she was greeted at heaven’s gates by my father, a man who dearly loved his daughters and definitely would embrace Maddie, leaving her with a laugh I am sure. My dad also loved the water and I’d like to think he’s teaching her all about the beautiful marine life…the same kind of lessons other children will be able to learn at the center we hope to see built in her memory.
