A Rose is a Rose, Even When It’s Really Feathers #WordlessWednesday
What you see is not always what you get. Who knew you could use a bunch of feathers to create a rose?
I didn’t even know when I bought this flower that it was comprised of feathers instead of pretend petals. My daughter saw it when we stopped at a gas station on the way down to Florida to see my mom for her birthday last weekend.
her: “Can I buy that for Grandma?”
me: “Nah, Grandma has lots of flowers.”
her: “But it’s her birthday.”
I couldn’t argue with that one…so we bought it. It was a couple hours down the road (and a few hundred miles) before I realized just how unusual this rose was. This feathery flowery is a good reminder that things aren’t always what they seem…sometimes they’re worth a closer look.
