Time to Change–Why You Should Switch Batteries When You Change Your Clocks
This is a picture of my beach house after a fire ripped through it last year. Investigators say it was started by something left on the stove. The smoke detector worked. Everyone got out ok. But the house was destroyed. I hate to even consider what might have happened without the working smoke detector. When you move your clocks back this weekend, be sure to also change the batteries in your smoke detectors. You could be saving your family.

That is just awful! I think timing it around the time change is a great idea.
