Beauty and the Beast and Boob Jobs–Poppy’s Presents
Watch out Snow White and Cinderella. You too, Belle. Your role model status is in jeopardy. Personally, I still think you’re stunning. But Poppy Burge thinks you need to make way for Lady Gaga and other celebrities. And gifts like a make-believe castle are being replaced with boob jobs, even though little Poppy is just seven years old.
Talk about a new spin on Beauty and the Beast, right?
According to the Daily Mail, Poppy’s mom just gave her an $11,000 voucher for liposuction for Christmas. She already has a boob job covered from her last birthday.
She hasn’t had either procedure yet. Her mom has given her vouchers to have them done later, essentially putting credit into an account.
Poppy’s mom is Sarah Burge, a 51 yr old who is nicknamed the “Human Barbie” because of the plethora of plastic surgery she’s had. The family lives in England and, according to a quote in the Daily Mail, Mom Burge argues this is a way of investing in her daughter’s future.
Right. College fund or collagen injections, this mom says she’s all about making her daughter’s dreams come true.
But then, again, if you check Poppy’s own site, www.PoppyBurge.com, you’ll realize she can probably pay for her own surgeries soon since she has developed Poppy’s Polersize classes. Yes, this 2nd grader is a master at pole dancing (yes, that kind of pole). And she has so fun with it that she thinks others her age would enjoy it more than ballet.
I’m not judging here, but I’m thinking I’ll be leaving Polersize off the list of extracurricular activities for my daughter. And she may hate me for it, but my money will go into investing for a great college to make her dreams come true. If she wants plastic surgery after that then she can pay for it herself.

Outrageous! Call me old-fashioned but that would not have happen on my watch. We need to accept and love our bodies.

Yep. NOT something you’ll EVER see me allowing my child to do!

I find this rather disturbing on so many levels. What a way to motivate a child – here’s a lipo certificate for when you get fat one day.
