Master Lego Model Builder–Best. Job. Ever!
My now-17 yr old son loved, LOVED, Legos when he was little. No matter what the holiday, if it was present-worthy it was a Lego set that he wanted. To this day, we still have those Legos and I have no doubt he could put something really amazing together with all of those funky pieces. I’m assuming the people who will be competing for the “Master Model Builder” title for the new LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta this weekend are probably a lot like my son.
Yes, that’s an actual job.
Master Model Builder.
You know you wished you had applied, huh? I think that would be an amazing gig. And I’m not alone. More than 100 applicants from all over the Southeast will convene this weekend for two days of serious competition for their chance to land this dream job – Master Model Builder!
They’ll have millions of LEGO bricks to work with as they put their skill to the test with a series of creative LEGO challenges. A special panel of judges, which includes adults and children, will evaluate each candidate’s performance. At the end of the first day of auditions, successful builders will be chosen to move on to the final stage of the competition, which will be held at Phipps Plaza on Sunday.
One candidate will be named winner of the competition after the final audition. They will then move to the final stage of the interview process before assuming the full-time job and official title of Master Model Builder for the indoor attraction.
