Sage Wisdom from a Six-Year Old
I know I have a smart daughter. She’s also very pretty, and talented, and sweet, sweet, sweet. But she blew me away with this little comment recently.
“Everything you write is good, no matter if someone else thinks it’s good or not.”
So simple, yet, so profound. She is right. Everything you write is good because it’s created in your mind, most likely from your heart. She and I love to make up stories to pass time, where I say a sentence and she adds a sentence (the more outlandish, the better in our book). It’s a nice little drill in growing the imagination. But this sentence, this wisdom, is rooted in reality. Who cares what others think? What you think matters most.
Smart little six-year old, huh?!

What a smart and beautiful 6-year-old. I also have a 6-year-old and love her imagination and creativity. I want to try the making up a story activity with her. How fun! Great quote too.

It’s amazing how wise our children are before the world gets a hold of them. She’s adorable.
