Fernbank Museum The Scoop on Poop Exhibit and More
There’s one universal topic that gets a child’s attention and the simple mention of the word can stop conversation: POOP! Well, Fernbank Museum has “The Scoop on Poop” in a new interactive exhibit. It’s a hands-on, yes—I said hands-on, humorous approach to learning the science of studying what animals leave behind.
It includes some live animal displays (cockroaches, live mice and a box turtle), along with “large, colorful graphic panels, three-dimensional models, and fun interactive components”. The exhibition evolved from the popular The Scoop on Poop children’s book. This science-based exhibit will run through September 3rd.
The Scoop on Poop is included in museum admission. You can find out more on the Fernbank web site.
And, since I know as a parent the last thing you really want to deal with or hear about is poop, treat yourself to the other amazing exhibit currently running at Fernbank, the Arctic Exhibit. My daughters and I watched it on a recent visit to Fernbank and all three of us loved it. It’ll cool anyone off on a hot, Atlanta afternoon, and will have you walking out thinking about the future of our planet, and the future for your children. That exhibit runs through September 3rd.
(Special note to readers: My children and I were given free admission to Fernbank for the Arctic Exhibit viewing. Our opinions remain our own.)
