She’s seven years old today…my sweet Daly Elizabeth, the youngest of my crew.
This spunky little gal is the best parts of me and none of the worst.
She is my little miss sunshine, always starting each day with “Good morning mommy”, typically trying to sneak up on me, which always makes her giggle.
She’s fearless, willing to stick her hand in a dolphin’s mouth to touch his teeth. I won’t do that. No way. Never.
She’s persistent. She set her mind a few weeks ago to mastering a split and she’s just about got it. She practices at least ten times a day.
She’s creative. The child can whip together an outfit out of anything and make it look like a masterpiece made for the runway of NY.
She’s funny. She’ll make silly faces or tell crazy jokes that leave me laughing days later when I think about them.
She is a cuddle monster. The girl gives the best hugs ever. Ever. And she gives them a lot.
She reminds me what it’s like to be a kid again. She gets me in the pool for a game of tag and before I know it she has me forgetting I’m forty-something full of stress.
She’s my baby, but she’s growing up to be one beautiful young lady. It’s happening too soon for my taste, but it is a real honor to be part of her life every day and I love every second of it.
Happy birthday sweet baby girl!
