PLANES and FINDING DORY– Disney Announces Two New Guaranteed Hits
Disney shared news in the past week for two new movies that will undoubtedly be blockbusters for kids AND their parents, including PLANES (think CARS but with wings) and FINDING DORY (yep, Nemo’s pal Dory gets center stage this time)!
All I can say is I. CAN’T. WAIT!!!
FINDING DORY is the sequel to FINDING NEMO, which was released in 2003. FINDING DORY is set to be released in theaters everywhere on November 25th, 2015. I can’t believe it’s been an entire decade since we first met Dory in all of her friendly forgetfulness!
Ellen Degeneres will return as the voice of this famous blue fish. In this movie, Dory is the one reunited with her family. Marlin and Nemo will be back, too, along with a school of other characters. This movie is the source of my motto in life, “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming” and I personally will be among the first in the theaters to see “FINDING DORY”.
Meantime, all the CARS fans out there are going to surely love PLANES, another action-packed Disney adventure. It features Dusty (voice of Dane Cook), a plane with dreams of competing as a high-flying air racer. Two problems, though. Dusty is afraid of heights and not exactly built for racing. A seasoned naval aviator helps get Dusty off the ground and ready to take on the defending champ of the race circuit. Disney promises the movie will give viewers inspiration to soar.
It will be in theaters on August 9th.
Ever since I watched Dumbo as a small child, I’ve wanted to learn to fly. Dusty just may inspire me to go sign up for lessons before my next birthday, which also happens in August. Maybe I can have a party at the movies…me and my airplane-loving kiddos.
I honestly don’t know which movie I’m more excited about at the moment. How about you? Leave me a comment below and let me know which one and your reason why. Can’t wait to hear it!
Here’s a quick clip of the PLANES movie, released by Disney just today.
