Atlanta Woman Wins National ‘EVERYDAY WOMEN’ Contest Honoring Those Who Care
If anyone out there deserves a stress-free holiday, Jennifer Dolagaray-Hoffman would be that person.
Imagine being diagnosed with breast cancer at just 30 years old…going through chemo, a double mastectomy and a full hysterectomy by age 32. Then, on top of all of that, taking care of your husband after he suffers four major strokes.
That’s Jenny’s reality.
So, when her best friend, who happens to be her husband’s ex-wife (that’s a story on its own, right?) heard about the EVERYDAY WOMEN contest through Affinitas Parfait Lingerie, she submitted a story about Jenny.
Here is a portion of what she wrote in her nomination:
“My friend Jenny … has always been there to take care of her family and others who need her. She was there for her support group ladies even though she was going through her own issues. Within months of her finally surgery her husband, who is only 38, had 4 major strokes and the doctors don’t know the cause. Jenny works full time, leaves work to go home and spend dinner with her 6-year-old son before she leaves to head to downtown Atlanta to the Shepard Center to spend a few hours with her husband every night. She has gone through so much, but she is always there to help others regardless of what she is going through. She has so much strength to make it through things and is still willing to give more of herself to help others in need and this is why I believe she deserves this wonderful acknowledgement.”
Jenny won a $3,000 Gift Card and $500 worth of Affinitas lingerie. The friend who nominated her won a $500 gift card. The prize was presented last month at Necessities by Sherrie, the Affinitas & Parfait Retailer in Snellville, GA.
Affinitas designed the contest to reward deserving everyday women all over the US, especially those who have gone above and beyond to make a positive impact in someone’s life, often while overcoming adversity in their own.
