SOL REPUBLIC Headphones Review
At some point in the last few years, headphones became THE high tech gadget for everyone on the go, from teens in search of great sound to travelers who want to eliminate background noise, and the brand Sol Republic is cornering the market on great sound options to fit everyone’s needs, all in competitive price ranges. I was sent a pair of the TRACKS on-ear headphones to review and have to admit, the first thing I love had nothing to do with the sound. Sorry, but it was the color options that grabbed me first. You can buy the headbands, sound engines and cables separately to create your own unique look. Think about it—you can coordinate them with an outfit, special event or anything else that works in your world. Of course, the sound is key, too, and it’s pretty awesome at the $99 price point. The company also offers the DECK, its first wireless speaker, created in collaboration with Motorola. Its features include Heist Mode, which allows up to 5 people to pair real-time to the device, a dedicated bass chamber that bumps with the option to shift into outdoor mode to raise mids/highs when needed. It also has a range that is twice that of most of the competition. There are in-ear headphones that pack great sound for the size, are super lightweight and comfortable. They are less than $50. TRACKS AIR on-ear wireless headphones also rock. They, too, were created with Motorola. They offer stellar sound with an unmatched 150-foot wireless range, dual-device connectivity and 15-hour battery life. Yes, 15 hours! With all of these options, there has to be one that will work for you, right?
