The Dr. Oz Show Season 7 Focuses on Mental Health, Too
(Note to readers: I was hosted by WSB-TV on this trip to NYC to interview Dr. Oz as part of my role as a parent influencer for the station. Most of my travel expenses were covered, but I was not otherwise compensated, and, as always, my views remain my own.)
We all know we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and take care of our bodies, but what about our mental health? After all, many of us fill a whole lot more than one role in life, raising children, running companies, maintaining a household—and often, taking care of our parents, too. Heck, just one of those roles can put me over the edge on certain days. Combine them all and I admit, I’m living on the edge, and I don’t mean in a good way.
This year, on the The Dr. Oz Show , America’s favorite doctor is putting the spotlight on our sanity, so to speak…our mental well-being. He’s hoping viewers learn a little more about the mind-body-spirit connection and understand why it’s important to care about ourselves as much as we care about others, if not more. We’ve all heard about the saying on an airplane, to put our oxygen mask on first, then the children around us. Well, Dr. Oz points out we should be doing this in everyday life, too.
He’s offering up a season long ‘Blueprint for Balance’ in the season that kicks off next Monday, September 14th. With that blueprint, he’ll explain not just why it’s important to find that balance in our lives, but give us tips on how to achieve it.
You can find out more about what we mean in this video where I interviewed Dr. Oz about what to expect in Season Seven of his show.

The Dr. Oz Show can be seen in Atlanta at 3pm on weekdays on WSB-TV.
Dr. Oz isn’t the only one speaking out about balance these days.
Tory Johnson of Good Morning America is releasing a book on September 15th all about finding joy in your life. The book, Shift for Good, is just one of the things she discussed in a visit we had with her while in New York to interview Dr. Oz. You can find out more about that interview by clicking this link .
