Be Good to Yourself on the AL Gulf Coast
With my head buried into my mat, arms stretched in front of me and the rest of my body balancing on my bent knees, it hit me that I’m not being kind to myself lately. I expect my brain and my body to run 24/7, basically on four hours sleep a night and not very healthy food. I know I need to do better, but I don’t.
I realized this during a beach yoga class this morning, part of a press trip I’m on to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama. This trip is for work, a feature on girlfriend getaways, but it’s also been good for my soul. Kayaking, a sunset sail, delicious meals at unique restaurants are all on the itinerary. Oh, and three nights in the most stunningly decorated condo I’ve ever seen. On a beautiful (and quiet) beach.
It’s the kind of trip I need to schedule more often. And one I hope you’ll boo for yourself, too. I’ll have details on everything in another post soon–but as I sit here now, feet kicked up listening to the soothing sounds of the Gulf, I felt I should share this message with you, my much loved readers striving to be stress-free.
Be good to yourself. You are worth it.
