Toyota Trucks: Something for Everyone
Fall makes me want to head to the mountains, to see the leaves change, to feel the cool air before things freeze. But heading to the mountains gets me in a truck state of mind—you want to take something that can get you everywhere you want to go, whether that’s fly fishing with friends, or just cuddling up with your loved ones in a cabin. Either way, I recently discovered Toyota’s line of trucks has you covered.
I was invited to put the Tundra, Tacoma, and Sequoia to the test on a media trip to the North Carolina mountains recently. We pretty much did everything other than stopping in at Grandma’s house on this journey. From beer tasting (the night before our drives, not the day of), to hiking with llamas, we officially soaked up the scenery and everything else the mountains had to offer. Did I mention the waterfalls? Yeah. This water baby couldn’t get enough of the waterfalls or the fly fishing I got to try for the first time. You can see some of the fun in this video I put together showcasing our fun.

But back to the trucks. The Tacoma is totally all about fun. I’d love one to tool around in on weekends when I really want to wear my warrior cape. The Tundra is what I drove up to the mountains, and for the couple days before and after the trip. I think I hooked my neighbor on buying one because it’s so comfortable on the inside, yet ready to be a workhorse on the exterior. And then the Sequoia…well, you know with four kids, the Sequoia would have been the ideal family car for our crew on family trips or just weekends of running to football, tennis, and cheer. You get the point.
Each offers something for everyone, depending on the priorities in your life at the moment. There’s more information on each vehicle below for those of you who want to know more than how many kids you can pile into the vehicle on any given day.
And here’s a bonus for those of you (like me) looking to add some fun to the mix. Toyota now has a partnership with Yakima Racks. You can see some of the new racks at the bottom of this post, including some that swing open to make it easier to open the back of the Sequoioa and others that hold up to six bikes vertically!
