Giveaway: Ted’s Montana Grill and Bud Light Super Bowl Match Up
It’s a matter of weeks until worldwide football fans descend upon Atlanta for the Super Bowl—the big game, Super Duper Sunday, the Football World Series—whatever you want to call it. Ted’s Montana Grill is hosting a ‘Legendary Matchup’ to commemorate the fact that the game will be played in the ATL, and it’s a great way to get into the spirit while filling your belly. They’ve partnered with Bud Light to create a delicious meal deal.
Through January 31st, you can enjoy George’s (George McKerrow, who launched Longhorn Restaurants, co-founded Ted’s Montana Grill with Ted Turner of CNN fame) Classic Cadillac Burger, in beef or bison, plus fresh-cut fries and a Bud Light Draft or Budweiser Copper Lager in a commemorative Super Bowl glass to keep.
All for $20.19! The deal is available exclusively at all 13 Ted’s Montana Grill Atlanta locations.
They asked me to come in and give it a try, then tell you all about it to help get the word out to the rest of Atlantans anxious to host the Sunday showdown. I happily obliged, and agreed to also give away a $25 gift card to allow one of my readers to enjoy the great food, too.
If you haven’t been to Ted’s before, expect an upscale burger joint that also offers steaks and more. With the copper tile ceiling and cowboy décor, the restaurant transports you to Montana where the bison roam in much greater numbers, thanks to Ted’s work to bring the animal back from near-extinction. They also focus on sustainability, offering paper straws, recyclable cups (made partly of tapioca!), and other green features.
I brought my date along for dinner and we tore through their famous half-sours (these are delectable pickles that they serve when you’re first seated), placed in a bowl right on top of the map of the land Ted bought in Montana that is used as a paper tablecloth of sorts. It works with the décor, take my word for it. I ordered up the bison burger (when in Rome, right?) and it was delicious. To be fair, I couldn’t tell a difference in taste between it and a regular burger, and I was a little relieved by that, because I’m not a super adventurous eater and I was really hungry. I wasn’t disappointed. Covered in bacon, I decided to also slather their famous ranch sauce on my burger, too. I warn you that it’s huge, though. These are 7 ounce patties and I took half of mine home for lunch the next day (bonus, right?!). The fresh-cut-fries were outstanding, too. Again—request the ranch sauce to dip them in. It’s THAT good.
I washed it all down with the Budweiser Copper Lager, which I’d never tried before, but certainly will order again. And, I got to take home the cool collector’s glass that honors our city’s hosting of the LIII Super Bowl.
If you can fit dessert into your belly, I highly recommend the Apple Pecan Crisp. It comes out hot, with Granny Smith Apples, caramel sauce, oatmeal pecan crust, and a scoop of Häagen-Dazs® vanilla ice cream on top. Again, the size is massive, so I highly recommend sharing it with someone. We split ours and still had to bring a ton of it home to eat the next day. So, so good!
I wouldn’t mind going back a few more times while this deal lasts, and hope you’ll want to give it a try, too. And here’s something to make that even more appetizing. I have one $25 gift card to share with a reader, which is enough to pay for one to ‘Feed Your Fandom’. Just comment on this Facebook post about what you’d order–beef or bison–or something else– and I’ll name one winner—chosen by random.org. Comment by midnight on January 23rd and I’ll name the winner by January 24th. Since this deal is only available in Atlanta, be sure you either live in the area or plan to visit by January 31st. You can get extra entries for sharing the post on Facebook.
Good luck!
