The Netflix Love is Blind Resort: Why You Should Go
If you’re a fan of the Netflix hit show Love is Blind, odds are you caught the episodes where the couples were whisked away to a luxurious resort in Mexico, a romantic escape meant to help their love grow. You probably fantasized about also visiting such a dreamy locale, just like Amber and Matt did, along with Cameron and Lauren, Giannina and Damian, and Kelly and Kenny, and yes, even Mark and Jessica. How could any of us NOT want to enjoy the same experiences we saw captured on the reality show; staring off into the sunset with our toes in the white sand beaches, or cuddling in the private hot tubs located on the terraces connected to our rooms?
Well, I’ve been there, and I can promise you, it’s just as amazing as it looks.
It’s been a decade since I visited Grand Velas Riviera Maya resort, but there’s no forgetting this all-inclusive escape. My visit was part of a press trip. I was invited to review the hotel and the adventures that can be found around it. My teenaged son joined me for the experience and, as much as I enjoyed his company and the bonding we did reconnecting in a place where we got to explore underwater caves, zipline over jaguars, or jump off cliffs into water below, I can promise I’d love the opportunity to return to soak up the romantic version of the resort.
I’d love to visit with my significant someone and never step foot off the Grand Velas property. We’d make the most of the holistic spa and savor the gourmet cuisine. Maybe we’d unwind on our private patio overlooking the Caribbean Sea, or partake in some beverages at the swim-up bar. Or, maybe we’d never even leave the room.
It’s just a few hour flight from Atlanta into Cancun, and a short drive from there down to Riviera Maya. The resort is about five minutes from Playa del Carmen and surrounded by the lush Riviera Maya landscapes.
There’s so much to love about this little slice of heaven on earth. Wouldn’t it be incredible for you to experience this resort with your sweetie, and watch your connection grow with the person you choose to spend life with? The show proved love can be blind, but at a resort like this, you want to be sure to take time to appreciate the view.
