Baby Event Set for LA This Saturday–Celebrity Dad Panel
Baby Expos are my thing, especially when they involve dads who conjure up images of dreamy dudes who take pride in their parenting skills.
The gals who created Pregnancy Awareness Month, or PAM, are hosting their fifth annual event this Saturday in Los Angeles (note to readers: this is the same group I’m part of in hosting the Atlanta Baby and Child Expo on May 11th).
Pregnancy Awareness Month exists to help educate and encourage all women and new parents to “consider their questions as they step into this amazing period in their lives. It is a time to talk, question, and talk some more. Research, talk, and prioritize.”
The LA Event is being held May 5th and you can find out more by clicking here.
If you can’t make it to LA, no worries. There are other events around the country, and you can see a list of those by clicking here.
That said, you really want to get to LA. I know I do. And here’s why:
There’s a panel discussion between dads that involves celebs Eric Dane (yes, AKA Dr. McSteamy from Grey’s Anatomy) and Balthazar Getty (remember him from Brothers and Sisters?). Getty’s sister is Anna, one of the co-founders of PAM, so he’s living up to that role of brothers and sisters in this case. The panel moderator is Kevin Frazier from Entertainment Tonight.
I’d love to spend the afternoon with the fellows learning about parenting (ok, I’d enjoy spending the afternoon doing just about anything with these guys, but you get my drift).
And I haven’t even mentioned the keynote speaker is Dr. Harvey Karp, famous for his “Happiest Baby on the Block” sleep tips.
There are amazing giveaways which include:
- free gift bags to 1st 200 registered from event brite that come
- free raffles, extra raffle ticket if you bring a diaper bag for Baby Buggy
- enter to win consultation with Project Nursery on designing the nursery
As an official blogger for PAM, I must disclose that I’m being compensated to tell you about this event. As a pal, I’m happy to share this cool event with you and wish that I could hop on a flight to be there, too. If you go, be kind and at least post pics if you make it. And give the guys a hug from me.
