Have you seen Disney’s PLANES movie out on DVD yet?
Better question: have you seen the extra feature videos at the end?
There’s a cute music video of Franz’s Song. It’s not part of the movie and will give adults and children a giggle.
There are other deleted scenes that director Klay Hall and Producer Traci Balthazar-Flynn introduce.
But the best extra feature is the interview with Hall about how this particular movie brought him full circle with his roots. His grandfather flew planes, as did his father, and in the extra video, Klay is able to take his two sons on flights on similar planes, along with extra thrills, such as landing on an aircraft carrier.
And, of course, there’s the movie. I’m a huge fan of PLANES. I loved the message to follow your dreams, be wiling to work hard and face your fears, and even help others along the journey, then watch those dreams soar.
With the holidays about to hit, this has to be one of the best gift ideas I can think of for the little ones in your life, or the big ones if they’re aviation fans. And don’t be fooled into thinking this is only good for goys. I love the story line, and so did my eight year old daughter.
