Girlfriend Getaway to Caesars Palace Laurel Collection in Las Vegas
(Note to Readers: I was hosted by Caesars Palace and my room and meals were covered in order to provide this review. I was not otherwise compensated and my opinion remains my own.)
Vegas is one of those towns where you know you will have a good time, no matter who you bring with you, but in my mind, it’s truly ideal for a girlfriend getaway, especially when you stay in a place like Caesars Palace’s Laurel Collection, packed with plenty to do and enjoy.
You can always get a little crazy in Vegas, in the way you did in your college days, or skip the insanity and take in some shows, or simply relax and enjoy the rare time alone with your gal pals.
On a recent ‘work’ trip to Vegas, I got to catch up with several of my girlfriends from around the country (and Canada). It was wonderful to meet up in a city where there are so many options for entertainment, food and fun.
But we found ourselves going back to Caesars Palace over and over.
We ate at Caesars, filling up on the Bacchanal Buffet (this should NOT be missed), which had every possible food you could imagine, all tasting like you had just ordered it specifically for your meal, and a dessert bar that knocked my socks off. Dessert is my favorite meal, and it did not disappoint. We had breakfast at Payard Patisserie and Bistro with french toast and a hibiscus mimosa that made me want to sit there all day. We sampled the frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity’s (don’t miss this—and know that it’s massive enough to share!).
The spa left me feeling like a new woman, stronger and happier inside than I’ve felt in a very long time. The one of a kind treatment was truly my favorite part of the trip, other than actually seeing my friends again.
The gambling didn’t hurt too much, either. To be honest, we didn’t spend much time in the casino. I’m pretty lame in the gambling department, sticking just to the slot machines, but how can someone go to Vegas without trying their luck at least once?
We did a tiny bit of shopping, too, also an incredible feature at Caesars Palace, and Vegas, in general.
We did a little work, too, since that was the point of the trip, though along the way the goal certainly morphed into connecting with my girlfriends.
And I recovered in my room, putting my exhausted body into a plush, comfy bed each night, much later than I should have, but earlier than a lot of others in Vegas. And I did squeeze in one amazing spa treatment.
Funny how the right friends and the right place to stay, like Caesars Palace Laurel Collection, can mix up just the right amount of awesome, huh?
