Preventing Bathroom Falls: Moen Grip Bar Review
(Note to readers: I was sent a sample product to see firsthand how it works. As always, my opinion remains my own.)
When you think about the dangers your young children face any given day, you probably think of things like crossing the road without looking, or sticking their fingers in an electrical socket, but there’s another hazard in your home you should consider.
The bathroom.
Did you know children younger than five account for more than half of all slips and falls in the bathroom? More than half!!
When you break it down, it amounts to one ever 12.5 minutes…43,000 each year!
There are ways to protect them, including bath mats to keep them from slipping, but grip bars can also help give them something to hold on to.
Before you roll your eyes over the ugliness of it all, know that there are options that are classy and stylish, too.
Moen Home Care sent me one that doubles as a grip bar and shampoo holder, and it fits right in with the rest of the bathroom accessories.

I’m beyond the baby age in my house and have to say, that grip bar is handy when you need to have something to grab onto in the bath or shower, no matter what the reason.
It’s not something I’d put on a baby registry list, but certainly worth telling new parents about for when the baby gets around the one year mark and starts walking. I’d hate for a fall to happen before they realize there’s a need.
