iCoffee Single Cup Coffee Maker–Ideal for College Students
(Note to readers: I was sent an iCoffee maker for review. I was not otherwise compensated and my opinion remain my own.)
Having a son in his third year of college has taught me a few things, but most importantly, it’s that if he doesn’t get up and out to class, he won’t pass that class, so I’m all for whatever might motivate him to get up and go, including the iCoffee, a funky new coffee maker that is ideal for a college dorm, or even his private bedroom in the apartment he shares with four other students.
This new single serve brewer—the Express—will serve up one cup of coffee (or hot chocolate in my case) in less than a minute. It’s quick and easy, just how a college student, or any of us to be perfectly honest, needs it first thing in the morning.
The Express uses iCoffee’s SpinBrew™ technology, spinning, steaming and stirring the coffee grounds inside the single serve pod, to produce a cup of coffee with exceptional taste. This machine also has space-saving features that make it perfect for dorm rooms, offices, tiny apartments and other small spaces. It’s super compact at just 7 1/8 inches wide and 9 7/8 inches deep.
You can use k-type cups with it or the iCup reusable (this is absolutely the way to go on a college budget). And you can use the Pour ‘n Brew™ system to add the exact amount of water for the beverage size you want (up to 10 ounces).
It retails for $99.99 (MSRP) and will be available this quarter at Bed Bath and Beyond®.
If you know a student graduating this spring, this may be the ideal gift that no one else with think of!
