Food and Drinks for a Star Wars Party
You can’t swing a light saber these days without seeing another reminder of the new release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Star Wars fans are overjoyed at this long-awaited movie…and non-Star Wars fans, well, we should probably convince them that the Dark Side is no place to hang out for very long.
And the excitement goes beyond watching the new release… there are events happening all over the universe, for several months to come, from Star Wars movie marathons to actual half-marathons running beside the Star Wars characters (at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World).
Well, why not create your own event to get into the Star Wars spirit?
I can help with the food and drinks, thanks to the Star Wars Weekend event I attended earlier this year.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios featured a variety of apps, snacks, and beverages (alcoholic and virgin) to quench appetites during those special events.
These are some suggestions, with a list of the ingredients. They are Disney recipes, so I don’t know exactly how much of each to use, but I have a feeling the Force is strong in most of you and you’ll be able to wing it with just one or tries, without any real Jedi training. Enjoy you must!

Don’t want to make them yourself? Then head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando…
I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these are brought back for the new exhibits at the park, some of which have already opened. There’s the Star Wars Launch Bay that takes guests into the new film with special exhibits and behind-the-scenes peeks, along with special merchandise and chances to meet with Chewbacca and Darth Vader.
There’s also a new Jedi Training experience, Star Wars: Path of the Jedi, and a new destination in the Star Tours Attraction.
Unfortunately, all of this has replaced Star Wars Weekends for Disney (which I thoroughly enjoyed). Somehow, I think these year-round attractions will make up for it, though. Guess I need to schedule a trip to find out for sure!
